Dr. Borrego is the President/CEO and Founder of Hand Technologies, where he drives the company’s overarching business strategy, capital acquisition, and commercial scale-up operations. As the chief architect of HAND’s corporate development, Dr. Borrego is responsible for evaluating strategic market opportunities and executing the transition of next-generation aerospace materials from the laboratory to multi-ton commercial manufacturing.

Dr. Borrego’s executive leadership is grounded in a deep technical foundation in polymer and materials chemistry. He is a co-inventor on several key HAND patents surrounding high-temperature thermosetting resins and C/C composite chemistry. Currently, he oversees the tech transfer, pilot production, and commercial sales strategy of HAND’s proprietary, BODA RESIN™ technology. Dr. Borrego earned his Ph.D. in Polymer & Materials Chemistry from Mississippi State University (2023) and his B.Sc. in Chemistry, English, and Biology from the University of Texas, Rio Grande Valley (2017).
